Got Mold On Your Boat?
As many people who own boats will know that is is very hard to keep mold from growing inside and on the outside of the boat. Especially if you are like me and own a vessel that has a cuddy cabin. Cuddy cabin boats are great. They provide a small area that you can sleep in and also provide cover from the brutal summer sunshine. And with every positive there are also some negatives. One of the hardest thing to do is keep the inside of the cuddy cabin dry. It is virtually impossible. Not only is it moist it gets very humid inside there which makes it a breeding ground for mold spores. This is something you will need to take care of before it gets out of hand.
Natural Mold Removal
You will need to get buy yourself a nice mold removal product to kill the black mold spores that are reproducing inside of your boat. If you have cloth padding or even vinyl padding inside of your vessel you will need to take that out and place them in the sun to dry. If you don’t have time you can wipe them down with a towel. Once the inside of the cuddy cabin is pretty cleaned out, you can spray your mold killer all over the inside of the cabin and let it sit for about 20 minutes. The natural mold remover I use is safe for all material including vinyl, cloth, teak, and wood because it has no toxic chemicals and also no bleach. It has no fumes either which is great because I can stay in the cabin while cleaning. Once the mold solution has sit for a 20 minutes, all you have to do now is take one of your boat brushes with the soft bristles and gentle scrub it down real quick. After you can either spray it down with a hose or you can wipe down the whole area with a towel.
Mold Killers For Boats
The key is after you wipe the cabin down with a towel you will want to spray the whole cabin down again with the natural mold removal spray because this will actually put a shield up on all the areas inside the cabin and prevent the mold spores from returning. Then you will want to do the same with the padding that you originally took out of your boat. Once the padding is clean, then you can spray that down with the mold killer to protect those items as well. Remember, the natural mold killer that I use is safe for all materials except marble. Hopefully this will help anyone who owns a boat or is thinking about purchasing one. Boats are one of the best ways to get away from the real world and relax, don’t let these pesky mold spores take that away from you.
